Step Timer – Terms of Use (EULA)

Welcome to Step Timer! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Step Timer mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading and using Step Timer, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. This agreement is between you and Sai Rajendra Immadi, not with the app store provider (Apple, Inc. or Google LLC).

2. Use of the App

  • Step Timer is designed to function as a timer application for personal use.
  • You may use the App without creating an account.
  • If you are under the legal age in your jurisdiction, you should seek permission from a parent or guardian.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

  • Billing: Step Timer offers subscriptions to unlock premium features. Payments are charged to your respective App Store account (Apple ID or Google Play) at the confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless they are canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Management: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store or Google Play Store after purchase.
  • Refunds: All purchases are handled by the respective app store. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support directly.

4. User Data

  • Step Timer does not collect or store personal user data such as name or email.
  • Payment validation is handled by RevenueCat using industry-standard encryption. No user-identifiable data is stored by the developer.
  • All app-related data is stored locally on your device, giving you full control.

5. External Links

  • The App may contain links to external websites that open in your device’s browser.
  • Step Timer is not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of third-party sites or browsers.

6. Maintenance and Support

  • Sai Rajendra Immadi is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the App. The app store provider (Apple or Google) has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Step Timer and its content (including logos, designs, and software) are owned by Sai Rajendra Immadi and protected under intellectual property laws.
  • You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, or sell any part of the App.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties and Timer Reliability

  • "As Is" Basis: Step Timer is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer and the app store providers disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
  • Timer Accuracy: While we strive for precision, you acknowledge that software bugs, hardware limitations, battery optimization settings, or system updates may cause the App to fail, crash, or fail to trigger notifications/alarms.
  • Assumption of Risk: You rely on the App’s timing functions entirely at your own risk. Step Timer should not be used for critical tasks where a failure could lead to injury, property damage, or financial loss.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sai Rajendra Immadi shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of time, property damage, missed appointments, burnt food, or personal injury) arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
  • Sai Rajendra Immadi, not the app store provider, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify the respective app store for a refund; to the maximum extent permitted by law, the app store provider will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever.

10. Changes to These Terms

  • These Terms may be updated periodically. It is recommended to review them from time to time to stay informed of any changes.
